Who is a veteran?

Veterans are people who serve or have served in the military (the Australian or New Zealand Defence Forces) in times of war or peace. They may have served either full-time or part-time in the:

• Army
• Navy
• Air Force

At Young Diggers, we refer to all veterans at 'Diggers'.

Do you know a veteran?

Maybe it is your mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, grandfather, grandmother, cousin, neighbour, or teacher. You can be very proud of them. Many have given much to keep us safe and free.
